  1967 GTO

This is Jimmy Cameron's 1967 GTO.  When we first looked at it, we figured there might be a little more work needed than first meets the eye.  (A theory which proved to be true!)

She has just arrived.......

We were beginning to sand her down when we came across the bondo in the rear quarter. This is not a good sign......

camsgto5.png

We have her all sanded down, so now it's time to go over the car with a fine tooth comb and find everything that needs to be repaired.

camsgto7.png

Large problem number one.......the rear passenger quarter, inner and outer wheel houses and trunk floor need to be replaced, badly.

Ok so both quarters and wheel wells need replacing....we have fitted the quarter on the passenger side along with the wheel houses.......we are waiting on the driver's quarter from Year One. The floor pans have also been fitted and are waiting to be welded in.

The trunk area and wheel wells are being put back together.

We are now preparing to attach the quarters to the car.

This is hard work as we have to fit the quarters before we can actually weld them on.

Both quarters have been fitted and welded in. Now we have to smooth out the seams.
